Admission Algorithm for Foreign Citizens and Stateless Persons

Choosing the level of education
  1. Certificate of completion of the Preparatory Faculty
  2. Original or copy of a certificate of secondary (complete) general education/document of the average professional education/ document of higher education and qualification, annexes to them where the subjects studied and credits are indicated for all years of study*
  3. Notarized copies of diplomas or certificates of education, annexes to them where the subjects studied and credits are indicated, with a notarized translation into Russian**
  4. Copy of the document certifying the identity and citizenship of the applicant (Passport)
  5. A notarized copy of passport with a notarized translation into Russian***
  6. Applicants who are at the time of application in the territory of the Russian Federation submit copies:
    – migration card (marked “Study”)
    – visa (marked “Study”)
    – indented part of notification of his/her arrival
  7. Medical certificate «0-86у» (valid for 3 months)
  8. Original or certified copy of HIV testing certificate (valid for 3 months)
  9. Copy of passport and/or birth certificate of applicant`s parents proving the parents were born on the territory of the Russian State, the Russian Republic, RSFRS, USSR or the Russian Federation with a notarized translation into Russian Copy of passport and/or birth certificate of applicant`s parents proving the parents were born on the territory of the Russian State, the Russian Republic, RSFRS, USSR or the Russian Federation with a notarized translation into Russian

Notes

* Recognition. In the case of submission of certificate(s) of education or education and qualification of a foreign state it’s necessary to submit the original or a copy of the certificate of recognition of a foreign education issued by the Federal Service for Supervision of Education and Science of the Federal Budget Institution “Main State Expert Center for Education Evaluation” (“Glavexpertcenter”: https://www.nic.gov.ru).

Legalization. Documents obtained in a foreign state must be legalized, unless otherwise provided by an international treaty of the Russian Federation or the legislation of the Russian Federation. The requirements for legalization for different countries can be specified by: https://www.msu.ru/int/intrul/legal(2020).pdf.

** Translation into Russian of educational documents obtained outside of Russia must be notarized or, alternatively, certified by the Russian embassy or consulate in the country where the educational documents were issued.

*** Translation of the surname and first name in the passport into Russian must correspond to the translation of the surname and first name in the certificate of education and in the annex to the certificate of education.
